"I love my Meeting
Maker! I keep my (heavily underlined) Big Book and 12 & 12,
along with a spare pen, dollar coins (I'm different, I'm
special) and trinkets to share with other AAs. It goes with me
to every meeting. About six months ago, I lost my Meeting Maker
and, despite frantic searching, could not locate it. I put a
desperate call into Linda and had a new one within days. I was
saved. Funny thing is, about two weeks ago, I saw "something"
about ten feet from my car. It turned out to be my long lost
Meeting Maker! It had been buried in a snow bank for at least
two months, plus I don't know how much salt. I was doing laundry
at the time, so I made sure it was empty and just threw it in
with the jeans and shirts (He does work in strange ways). A
couple hours later, it was good as new. I have since passed it
on to a friend who carries her AlAnon literature in it. You can
be sure that I am a lot more careful with this one. Sorry,
Linda, but I hope this is the last one I'll have to buy. Life is
